Artist Biography

Mel N

 Geek, Nerd, Artist; Weirdo. All good descriptors for Mel. Their interests range from art and nature, to videogames. Considering their passion for natural things; they love resource gathering in videogames that feature things like herbs, mushrooms and crystals. Unsurprising; as they grew up surrounded by the vast nature of BC, and a large garden surrounded by forests in a small community. They and their partner of over a decade grew up in the same community; and these two dorks bonded over similar interests. Fast-forward to playing a game together with dinosaur taming, combat, survival, and crafting. 

Mel also loves reading webcomics like Lore Olympus, Suitor Armor, Realta, Everything is Fine, Namesake, Phantomarine; and many, many more. 

They always admired the writing and art prowess of these creators; and now can even more appreciate the time and patience it takes to create even a single comic page. The styles and writing of all their favorite comics helped inform what parts of the event they wanted to feature in the mini-comic assigned by their instructor at TRU, Clement Yeh.
